Computer Aided Transformer and Inductor Analysis For Windows This program has been written primarily to assist the analysis engineer working with magnetic components. Computer Aided Design (CAD) is widely used, which is also referred as electronic design automation (EDA). In EDA, computer programs are created to develop VLSI circuits. In CAD research, both software and hardware activities are conducted to improve design quality and reduce design time.
V&F’s computer aided design systems will not only allow V&F to develop an optimal design from a construction and cost standpoint but also allows our engineering team the ability to “virtually prototype” 3-Phase magnetics to predict performance in a customer’s application. This text provides an overview of numerical field computational methods and, in particular, of the finite element method (FEM) in magnetics. Detailed attention is paid to the practical use of the FEM in designing electromagnetic devices such as motors, transformers and actuators.
This book also introduces the reader to computer aided design of transformers.
